Northumberland National Park is the northernmost national park in England. It covers an area of more than 1,050 km2 between the Scottish border in the north to just south of Hadrian’s Wall.
North Pennines AONB at almost 2,000 km2 it is the second largest of the 49 AONBs in the United Kingdom.
Yorkshire Dales National Park covers 2,179 km2 straddling the central Pennines in North Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire.
Nidderdale AONB covers 603 km2 of Northern England in the county of North Yorkshire.
Forest of Bowland AONB is situated in North West England, covering 803 km2 in the counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire.
